Beginning December 1st, Lavender Evening Fog will bring you a new story, paired with a new tea, every day as Anna-Georgina works her way through her tea advent calendar.

December 1st- French Vanilla Black Tea

There is a broken grandfather clock in the closet by the front door. It chimes every Tuesday, seven minutes after midnight.

December 2nd- Hot Cincinnati Spice Rooibos Tea

December 3rd- Dragonwell Green Tea 

A locker door slams shut. None were open the last time you were in the hallway.

December 4th-Santorini Sunset Back Tea.

Morning’s first light brings floral aromas and the feeling that all is right with the world. The air in the hallway is a friend’s embrace.

December 5th- Lemon Drops Black Tea

The building is saturated with history. Its warmth glows on everyone it loves.

December 6th- Apple Strudel Oolong Tea

On the playground, the wind blows empty swings. Their movements are the ghosts of years of children in the schoolyard.

December 7th- Tanzania Gold Black Tea

The winter trees are bare skeleton keys casting bony shadows. In the wind, they are brittle windchimes.

December 8th- African Sunrise Green Tea

Sometimes, the mist that hangs over the forest on fall mornings is cloying. You decide to stay in bed those mornings.

December 9th-Blueberry and Apple Pie Rooibos Blend

Lay on the wooden floor with your ear to the ground and the echoes from the past might tell you something. The stone floors, however, are always silent.

December 10th- Christmas in Paris Black Tea

The light dusting of snow covers the empty school yard. Icicles spell cryptic messages of how to stay warm.

December 11th- Peppermint Herbal Tea

Unseasonably warm winter temperatures bring a soft rain. You dream of spring.

December 12th- Ilam Black Tea

The weight of the responsibilities of the season is upon you. You don’t notice the way everything has subtly shifted to make space for rest for you.

December 13th- Orange Passion Fruit Herbal Tea

The cotton candy sky is a color your grandmother used to call sky-blue-pink-with-purple-polka-dots. For all its beauty, it reminds you of a bruise, and you feel unsettled--something is about to happen, nothing good.

December 14th-Coconut Spiced Chai Black Tea

Today, your relationship with the past smells like mothballs. You decide to focus on what is ahead of you instead.

December 15th-Java Mate Blend

Gather around the glow of a winter camp fire. The ghosts are resting tonight.

December 16th- Hojicha Green Tea

You live at the convergence of past echoes and the future you are building for yourself. Welcome the ghosts as old friends-welcome guests- but don’t let them move in.

December 17th-Raspberry Oolong

If you feel like you're not alone, don't worry. They just want to make sure you're okay.

December 18th- Victorian Earl Grey Black Tea

Floral ghosts stalk the hallways. Their aromas are remembrances.

December 19th- Butterscotch Almond Pu-erh

As if in a dream, a fireplace materializes decorated in holiday finery. Warm yourself and rest.

December 20th- Kyoto Cherry Rose Green Tea

The records show an old greenhouse on the school grounds that was long torn down. You visit it in your waking dreams to bathe in the bouquet of rose and jasmine.

December 21st- Chiang Rai No. 12 Black Tea

At night, the halls ring with energy the days leave behind, with specters of scenes playing themselves out invisibly in each room.

December 22nd-Turkish Bazaar Black Tea

Over tea and dessert, the room suddenly feels full. The ghosts have arrived for the holiday banquet.

December 23rd-Serene Herbal Tea

Sleep in this morning. Wake up awash in garden light.

December 24th-White Christmas White Tea

Sugar cookies bake in the oven for friends stopping by. The halls are lined with evergreen garlands and the specters of holidays past.

December 25th-French Breakfast Black Tea

Wind blows snow on the windows in a lacework pattern, creating a Victorian quilt of shadows. Wrap up, stay warm.
